Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce

This is a really simple recipe that goes exceptionally well with any dish, especially beef, pork and of course roast turkey that will add a special sweet/tart note to your meal. You can add grated orange rind and juice and chopped walnuts to make a cranberry relish that is really delicious.


Fresh Cranberry Sauce
Serves: 4-6     Total Time: 10-12 Minutes


Ingredients

• 1 package Fresh Cranberries
• 1 Cup Water
• 1 Cup Granulated Sugar

Fresh Raw Cranberries
Preparation Steps

Step 1. Rinse Cranberries then place into a 2 qt. saucepan.

Step 2. Add water and Sugar.

Step 3. Cook over med-high heat until all the cranberries "pop", approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4. Turn off heat, cover and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate until use.


Tips and Trending

~  If desired, add ½ Cup Orange Juice (reduce Water to ½ Cup), 2 Tablespoons grated Orange Peel and ¼ cup chopped Walnuts to make a wonderful Cranberry Relish.
