Roasted Garlic

Roasted Garlic

Roasted Garlic is definitely garlic, but its sweet nuttiness is also something much more. Use it to give a more subtle hint of garlic than a fresh clove could do or introduce garlic where no garlic has gone before.

Roasting garlic is super easy and can be done anytime you have an extra 45 minutes to spare.

Roasted Garlic
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes     Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients

• Whole Head (Bulb) of Garlic
• 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil per head

Preparation Steps

Step 1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.  Peel away all of the papery skin from the outside of the whole head, but don’t remove any skin from the individual cloves. Separate the individual cloves slightly, but don’t let them detach.

Step 2. Stand the head in a small ramekin, root end down, and drizzle the Olive Oil over the whole head making sure that the Oil gets in between the individual cloves.

Step 3. Cover loosely with a square of aluminum foil and tuck it alongside the Garlic inside the ramekin. Roast for 30 minutes and enjoy the aroma that fills your kitchen!

That’s it – easy!  Roasted Garlic

Tips and Trending

~ You can roast multiple heads at one time by putting them in a muffin pan, just increase the roasting time to 35 minutes.

~ Use the garlic infused oil that collects in the bottom of the ramekin for whatever you’re cooking tonight!

~ Squeeze the roasted cloves from their skins into a butter warmer with the Olive Oil in which they roasted. Add more Olive Oil and a pinch of Red Pepper Flakes. Then just grab a clove and spread it on a slice of crusty French bread.
